Scavenger hunt

Scavenger Hunt Sunday

Walking empty streets....
a street in Kangaroo Valley from a holiday a few months ago.
Repeating patterns...
this caught my eye at the entrance of the zoo.
THEN...Beautiful roses a few months ago.  NOW...just spent the last week or so doing some pruning. Looking forward to the return to 'then' in a little while.
Little fingers on the wallaby's soft fur.

The zoo

I am very grateful this week for a few spare hours and for being a zoo friend. I am a regular at the zoo and for ages I've wanted to go by myself, without children.
 So, on Wednesday I went.

It is such a great place. I was only there for an hour but it was nice to stop and take some photos.
Nice to look around at my own pace. Nice to be by myself.
When I go with James we seem to spend most of our of time looking at sheep, eating lollies and riding on the sky safari. (which is fun too!) Nice to do something different.

Being grateful with Maxabella.

Something beginning with K

Thought I would kick off my K post with some Australian native animals...

Followed by some mundane household items.....

Repeating patterns

Since reading this  Kat Eye View  post, I've been noticing repeating patterns everywhere. I took the camera to see what I could find as I walked with Charlie & the dog to school this morning.
I was right. Repeating patterns everywhere!

A washing basket.

I had just finished reading this post when I passed by this laundry basket
(on my way to doing the washing).

I really like the repeated pattern and the shadow it made.

I'm very grateful for good books to read.
In the last month or so I've read 3 great books: these 2 & Caleb's Crossing (which I have lent to someone else). I love it when I find books that I really enjoy, and especially love it when they were gifts.

Joining in being grateful with Maxabella  &  Baby Mac.

The changing sky

Two shots taken from our holiday cabin when we arrived for our few days away last weekend.
What a difference thirty minutes makes.
Two shots taken the next morning.
One looking east then one looking towards the other end of the beach.
So changeable.
Joining in with skywatch Friday again.

Scavenger hunt

Scavenger hunt again this week....
Scavenger Hunt Sunday
Black & White.
I always think guitars look good in black & white.

Reflections in glass..
the back window of my car.

Seeing double..

Winter trees.

Winter at the beach

Just had a lovely weekend away with friends at the beach. It was a bit chilly, but I'm very grateful that it didn't rain much. I love the beach in winter.

Thought I would join in skywatch Friday this week.

I love it when the sky turns a little bit pink at sunset...
