Fishing with grandpa

One thing that I loved these holidays was watching Charlie & his grandpa enjoying each other's company.
I loved taking photos at the beach in the beautiful late afternoon light as they baited their hooks, cast out their lines & reeled them in.
(they didn't catch anything)
The waves lapped around their ankles and their feet got buried in the sand.
Special times.

  1. They may not have 'caught' anything, but you sure did :-)
Lovely scenes, and you certainly 'knew where to stand' for these various shots. Young lads and their hats - always lovely to see what they choose to wear.

  4. All lovely shots although think your second capture is both photographically clever and also emotion filled - how I would have love to have a similar one of myself and my grandfather. How wonderful you've managed that for these 2.

  5. Truly what memories are made of Leanne. To this day, my son will still say that the best times he spent with Grandpa were when they were fishing.

These photographs are truly heartfelt and wonderful.

Thank you so very much for sharing with us at The Creative Exchange this week.

    Have a great day!

  20. The pictures you have included this week in Creative Exchange epitomize the meaning of the meme. Not only are the captures beautiful, your post processing of them is superb. Turning pictures into photographic works of art is exactly what you have done. These pictures will be true keepsakes for both granddaddy and grandson as well as for you in the years to come. Kudos to you for a wonderful post. I like your blog so much I have added my name to your followers - I am the silly one in the overalls standing in the meddle of the seek on a rock taking photos. Now, I am going to put your blog into my sidebar. genie
