photo heart connection

Photo heart connection is an idea from Kat Sloma where you find the photo from the last month that you really love.
Not so much from a technical point of view, but an emotional one.
I thought I'd join in.
I don't often review my photos because I'm usually thinking about what I will photograph next!

So this is the one that I kept stopping at.

I took this while I was sitting on the beach in the late afternoon, taking photos of my son & his grandfather while they were fishing.
This lady & her grandchildren(?) were walking along, chatting, looking at shells, watching people go by & checking out the fishermen. I enjoyed watching them interact & I think this photo captures the connection that they have.
The special relationship that is between grandparents & grandchildren.
It kind of reminds me of my own childhood when we would stay with my grandparents, who lived in a coastal town.
We would walk along the beach, around rocks, look at shells & no doubt share moments like these in the photo.

  5. I love this - this moment of sharing that you have so wonderfully captured. That golden light with the blue ocean water beyond - the littlest one with one pant leg up, one down. The obvious love between them. A simply lovely sliver of time.

  11. It was as if these three were stepped in front of your camera's eye to bring back those precious moment you had with your grandparents so long ago. Lovely photo and heartfelt words. It reminds me of the many hours I spent with my Japanese grandfathers who loved the Pacific Ocean. I also use blogspot for my blog and tried unsuccessfully to learn how to add Kat's button at the end of my post. Can you point me in a direction to find instructions to do this? Thanks.

    1. I'd ask kat about that. I just copy the badge as an image & then link it- but I think there's a better way- but I'm not sure!

  12. Such a moment captured! Even though you don't know them, and I don't know them, it says so much about the relationship. I can see why this one has a great heart connection for you, especially with your own childhood memories. Brava! So nice to see this in the Photo-Heart Connection.

  14. This is a wonderful image-the light is perfect and the emotion definitely comes thru. Living near the beach myself I enjoy seeing this image. A grandparent is a wonderful thing. I only enjoyed one grandparent as the others passed before me, but she was a gem. I also enjoy watching my mother interacting with my brother's children.
