The moon

This was the moon last night at our place.
I'm never sure what settings to use when photographing the moon so I experimented!
These were my favourites.

ISO 100, 300mm,  f/5.6, 1/1000

ISO 200, 300mm, f/5.6, 1/2

ISO 200, 200mm, f/40, 30.0

All taken between 8.15 & 8.20pm.

  3. Leanne - oh how amazing! These are the kinds of shots that make me wish for a dSLR - I just don't have the zoom capability to capture the moon in all its radiant glory. I think your experimentation was extremely successful. Love the blurred effect in that last one. Well done!

  9. I'm impressed! I tried to get a few shots of the moon about a half hour ago and it was really too late. The moon was so high and I just could not zoom in enough to suit me. So...I'm really enjoying your images!
