"A good photograph is knowing where to stand" Ansell Adams.

On Sunday afternoon we wandered to the beach, Charlie & 2 of his friends threw the frisbee around.
I must have taken 150 photos trying to catch the perfect light & the perfect silhouette.
The boys were very compliant.
I occasionally asked them to stand closer together or move a little bit in one direction or the other.

I think these were my favourite...

  1. I love these. A good silhouette is so hard to capture, but you've done a great job. The bottom right is my favourite :)

    1. Mine too, the light is beautiful. The boys did a great job too!

  2. Lovely! I'm a fan of silhouettes.

  3. These are wonderful, Leanne.
I love the light in each one.
    Happy day to you!

  4. I like the one in the water. I hear you on taking a gazillion. I think sometimes that's necessary. Meanwhile, picking the best is very hard later. I try to do some massive deleting too....I hate those files with so many of the same thing. You can never figure out later which ones you chose.

  5. Leanne - fabulous silhouette work! Love the feeling of action and the sense of something just about to happen. Works great as a series/collage!

  6. You've really captured a spirit of boyhood - play - fun - summer. Great silhouettes and light - I love the pop of color the yellow frisbee adds to each image.
