inspiration & diptychs

Today I had a lovely day in the city, hanging out with Justine.
We met at the Museum of Sydney & had a look at the 52 suburbs around the world exhibition.

We really were quite inspired by the way Louise Hawson creatively & artistically paired photographs to make beautiful diptychs.

So, as we wandered around Circular quay, the Botanical gardens & Government house we looked out for diptych possibilities.
This is what I came up with...

I do love being a tourist in my own city.
It was great to be inspired.
In fact we were so inspired, we're hatching a plan to work on a project together.
(more details to come..)

ten on ten

I'm going to have a little break from my august break, and join in with ten on ten.
Ten photos, over ten hours on the tenth day of the month.

I love documenting my day in this way.
Looking for beauty in the ordinary. Appreciating the moments.

A beautiful Sydney's winter day, a bike ride with Charlie, a game of giant chess
 & a relatively quiet afternoon.
This is what my tenth looked like...

august break

In past years I have noticed that some blogs that I read have joined in with Susannah Conway for an August break.
Just a break from regular blogging {but still staying connected}.
I thought it seemed like a good idea to join in this year.

This year she has given some photo prompts - to use as you wish, either occasionally or each day during August.
( I'm doing occasionally)

{AUG 03- yellow}

I'm not sure whether my break will last for the whole month,
( I don't think I can give up ten on ten),
but we'll see.
