an autumn afternoon

Even though it's been a bit rainy and a little cooler over the last week,  autumn has been  slow to come this year. With gorgeous afternoons like this one, it feels more like the end of summer than halfway through autumn. I'm not complaining at all. I had an hour spare this afternoon, so decided to explore a new (to me) location.
This is Clive park that sweeps down to the foreshore of middle harbour in Sydney. It's probably busy on the weekends but today it was so peaceful and quiet, the afternoon sun sparkling on the water and the gentle waves lapping around the rocks.
