sailing

On Sunday afternoon I went  for a drive and we ended up at Clarks Point, which overlooks Sydney harbour. It was a beautiful sunshiny winter's day and it looked like we arrived just in time to watch a sailing race. I loved all the colours of the sails and the way that they filled with air to push them down towards Parramatta river.
There were plenty of people around enjoying the weather and the view, mesmerised by the wind and the sails.

winter at the beach

It was a chilly but sunny day today and I was lucky enough to have some time to wander along the beach.
The clouds were amazing & I love how they kind of match the foaming of the waves.

a photo an hour

Every month for the last 3 years or so, I have participated in 'ten on ten', which is a photo project where on the tenth day of each month you take a photo every hour (or so) for ten hours. The idea is to look for beauty in an ordinary day. I love doing it!
Well, this month, I didn't do it. I chose not to for a few reasons but I did it today instead. A ten on seventeen if you like :)

Today was an ordinary sunny winter's day.

This is what my seventeenth looked like, starting with a view of the morning from the bathroom window.

sunrise

On the last morning of our little getaway we got up early to watch this!
I always find a sunrise so beautiful. Amazing to witness the beginning of a new day.

A day on a tropical island

David & I have just spent a couple of days on a tropical island to celebrate 25 years of marriage. It was magical.
This was what one of our days looked like.
