looking up

Last Friday I flew to Brisbane for my uncle's funeral. Funeral's are such a mix of emotion- grief for the loss of  a loved one, sadness for those who are closest and will feel the loss daily, and moments filled with lovely,  happy memories and a stronger sense of connection with family.
We stopped for a cup of tea on the way  back to the airport and as we looked up we saw a giant dandelion sculpture which reminded me of making wishes...wishing that those feelings of strong connections weren't prompted by funerals. It's such a strong reminder to be grateful for the people in our lives.

  1. So very sorry for your loss...thinking of you. Love the dandelion relationship with sculpture and wishes. And so true to treasure every moment we have with our loved ones.

    Blessings,
