right now {just 5 things}

 beautiful and still, birds greeting the day, a happy dog endlessly sniffing, fresh air and sunshine, possibilities

tulips, jobs ticked off my list, handmade sausage rolls for lunch, absolute quiet in my house, the feeling of summer {sunny & warm today, i love it}

pretty sky, the sound and smell of rain {it's just started}, hearing about my boy's hike {it was a tough one}, waiting for dinner to cook, light fading to darkness

I've been writing lists {and it's been good} over the last week or so with Michelle

on being a tourist

I live in one of the most beautiful cities in the world and occasionally I like to do the tourist thing. Catching a rivercat up the Parramatta River to the harbour, getting glimpses of our famous Sydney icons, wandering around Circular quay and through the Rocks and checking out the newly opened Barangaroo foreshore reserve. All really beautiful and so close. A lovely day out with some excellent company.

ten on ten

Ten photos over ten hours on the tenth day of the month. A way of documenting my day, noticing the details of an ordinary day.

This is a bit of what my tenth looked like....

8.57am-   beautiful blossoms in my street
9.31am-   a hearty breakfast at a local cafe after a fasting blood test
10.24am- walking under a bridge, watching a taxi go by- freight train in the background
11.52am- a cup of peppermint & liquorice tea
12.17pm- pipes & digging has been happening in our back yard for the last 2 weeks
12.51pm- garlic, onions & ginger, fruit & veg shopping
2.13pm-   my latest weaving project
2.44pm-   taking Poppy for a walk down our usual path
4.34pm-   finished 'Picnic at hanging rock' this week for my book group
6.27pm-   a black out meant that we had an evening by candlelight

last weekend

Last weekend, I took the opportunity to visit the zoo. For many years now we have been zoo friends, we pay an annual fee for unlimited access to the zoo. I love it! It means we don't have to stay long.

So, after a visit to the sheep (James' favourite) and a wander past the giraffes ( my favourite), we left. Such a beautiful afternoon and a spectacular location.
