on being a tourist in my own city

A few days ago I met Justine in the city & we attempted to do the tourist thing. We had an app to guide us through the hidden laneways in Sydney. It started off  very well. After a coffee at the Museum of Contemporary art we began the guided tour & discovered the history of some of the buildings in the laneways. Sadly however,  after a relatively short time our map reading skills let us down & we ended up doing our own thing :)
Nevertheless,  it's always lovely to spend a few hours in good company in our beautiful city on a glorious winter's day.

  1. Great pics Leanne, and what a fun day! I miss getting lost in the city! I used to let myself wander the Melbourne laneways often and discover new places xx

  3. That sounds like a fun way to spend a day. What a fascinating city Sydney is! What are those things hanging in the air between the tall buildings in the fourth photo? Is that some sort of art installation?

    1. Bird cages! Yes, it's a permanent art installation. Very cool :)
