a beautiful walk

Today I went for a walk with my friend from Manly beach to the Spit Bridge. It's a 14 km or so walk along the coast and it is incredibly picturesque.  It was quite a warm day so it was lovely to take our walking shoes off near the end of our walk & have a bit of a paddle before we got on a bus at the spit & headed back to Manly.

Here are some of the photos that I took...

walk by the river

Over the past 2 years a friend and I have been walking alongside the Parramatta river (on both sides) between Parramatta and the city.  A few weeks ago we completed our final section between Huntley's point and Meadowbank. It was a beautiful day with beautiful views along the way.

There were small bays, large bridges, boat houses, a community garden and hosts of other things.  So good to complete this little project and now it's time to think of what to do next. There are so many good walks in Sydney.

Here's a little of what we saw..

Roid week

Apparently it's 'roid week' ... an opportunity to play around with Polaroids. While technically I don"t have a Polaroid  camera I can still enjoy some instant film photography with my Fujifilm Instax. It's a little different - rectanglar photos rather than square and the colours appear stronger. Both fun!

I went with Justine to Bondi on Monday. We both took our instant cameras and walked along the coast from Bondi to Bronte (& back again). It's always beautiful & this time we enjoyed snapping away with our instant film. So much blue!

You can have a look at some of the other photos we took in a grid on our collaborative blog.  two takes .

Barossa Valley

David and I have just spent a long weekend in the Barossa Valley in South Australia. It's a wine growing region with beautiful rolling hills & plenty of wildlife (there are kangaroos under the tree in the top photo). We walked, we cycled, we drove, we ate cheese and drank wine. It was a lovely weekend.
