On Friday I went to the Biennale on Cockatoo Island, a free visual art event that is held in Sydney every 2 years.
These were just 2 of my favourite installations, I'm sure more will pop up in future posts.

'Domesticated turf' 2012
This was made from a shipping container, such beautiful & delicate patterns carved into the steel.
There were even doily patterns stencilled with the red sand that lined the pathway.
The lighting was beautiful too.

'Hylozoic Series:Sibyl' 2012
This was an interactive installation, all feathers & lights.
So pretty.
Sensors activated by touch & movement caused lights to go on, feathers to move, fragrances to be released.

And these shadows on the wall from the above artwork were beautiful too!

  1. Gorgeous and so very creative. I am always amazed at what artists can create from the most unusual elements.

  2. Oh WOW, this looks fantastic Leanne. I didn't even know this exhibition was on. Love your captures of those designs. The shipping container is stunning, looks really magical and romantic. The feathers are beautiful too, they look a little more mystical, but so pretty.

  3. Amazing
I would love to see this
